Upon surveying the area along the Rio Grande River and being stirred of the
Lord about the many under-privileged communities, Missionaries Cliff Brown and Norman
Welch felt the Lord would have them begin a Children Outreach so as to evangelize these
communities and rescue the children from gang activity by giving them an alternative
organization to be a part of. So, the Yard Bible Clubs were born which are carried
on by Missionaries Norman and Faith Welch with some assistance of Missionaries Cliff and
Olene Brown. Since its beginning there have been many professions of faith and
children enlisted in Church attendance.
